Departure Times:
Cruises depart at 1:30 p.m. or earlier if all passengers have arrived. Passengers may board after 11:30 a.m. Crew members will carry your luggage to your stateroom. Passengers are recommended to arrive no later than 12:30 p.m
Shore Excursions:
Every American Cruise Lines shore excursion falls into one of three categories: 1) FEATURED shore excursions are complimentary. Featured excursions are selected excursions which typically are offered daily on Columbia & Snake River, Mississippi River, and Alaska Cruises. 2) PREMIUM shore excursions typically cost between $20 and $70 and may be purchased on board with your Hotel Manager. 3) SIGNATURE shore excursions are particularly unique excursions with limited availability and which often cost more than $70. We recommend that you reserve these excursions in advance with your Cruise Specialist.
Single Occupancy:
Single cabins are available on all ships. If one person chooses to occupy a double stateroom he/she will be charged 150% or 175% of the double occupancy rate depending on the type of stateroom occupied.
Deposits and Payments:
A deposit of $500.00 per person is required to confirm any reservation on trips of 9 nights or less, and a deposit of $900.00 per person is required to confirm any reservation on trips of 10 nights or more. Final payment is due 90 days prior to the sailing date. Any Reservation made within 90 days of the departure date must be accompanied by full payment and is subject to Cancellation Terms.
What to Bring:
Casual sportswear is suggested during the day. Casual country club attire is recommended in the evenings and for dinner. Comfortable walking shoes, windbreaker, sweater for cool evenings, and light rainwear are also recommended items.

Launched in 2016, America is one of the finest paddlewheeler ever built, introducing features never before seen on the Mississippi.
America embodies a casual ambiance and relaxed atmosphere while providing panoramic views of the passing scenery. With only 185 guests, fellow guests will quickly become new friends.
American Melody
Featuring panoramic views throughout, including an impressive four-story glass atrium in the center of the ship. Ranging from 250 to 650 square feet, all of the spacious staterooms feature full-size bathrooms, roomy closets, and private balconies where you can enjoy daily breakfast room service. She offers the Back Porch Café for casual dining, an option that has been very popular with our guests.
The new ship also features many spacious lounges, where you can share the day’s adventures with fellow guests, as well as an onboard fitness center and yoga studio.
American Harmony
With a capacity of just 190 guests, American Harmony has the modern amenities and contemporary styling that today’s traveler has come to expect. Featured are expansive lounges with large glass windows, offering astounding views. This new ship also features a five-story, glass-enclosed atrium with a large domed skylight, which serves as the central gathering point for the entire ship.
Our new suite design allows for unprecedented comfort while traveling, beginning with the new Grand Suites featuring 800 square feet of private space. These spacious suites include two glass walls and a wraparound private balcony. Complimentary room service during select mealtimes is available for every stateroom, but the Grand Suites offer ample space to host small cocktail parties or private dinner events.
