ITINERARY
DAY 1: SUNDAY  Frankfurt

Individual arrival at Frankfurt airport from where you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is leisure to recover from jet lag or getting to know the city, the financial and commercial center of Germany. At 7 pm you will meet your guide at the hotel followed by a welcome dinner at the hotel. Accommodation at the Hotel Mövenpick Frankfurt City****.

Day 2. MONDAY
Frankfurt – Ruedesheim - St. Goar
This morning we depart to visit the Rhine. The first stop is charming Rüdesheim where we have a short walking tour, then board a boat for a picturesque cruise through the Lorelei Valley named after the legendary maiden who's mesmerizing songs racked endangered sailors. Disembarkation at St. Goar and we will return to Frankfurt for overnight at the Moevenpick.

Day 3. TUESDAY
Frankfurt – Heidelberg - Baden Baden - Black Forest -Freiburg
Today we enter the Black Forest, a region known not only for its delicious cake and the wooden cuckoo clocks but also for its spectacular landscapes. The first stop is Heidelberg, one of Europe's oldest University towns with fantastic views above the Neckar river, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continue to Baden Baden spa town, former summer retreat of European nobility famous for many  elegant buildings and thermal springs. We spend the night at Freiburg, the capital city of the Black Forest region. Hotel Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthouse****.

Day 4 / WEDNESDAY
Freiburg- Colmar-Strassburg
After crissing the mighty Rhine river dividing Germany from France, we arrive at Colamar, a charming city of German and French influences, center of a famouse Alsace wine growing area. After a typical Alsacian lunch we continue to Strassburg, capital of the region, an elegant city and official seat of the European Parliament and many other European institutions. We will embark on a city tour along the canals bordered by romantic half timbered houses and visit the Grand Island the historical UNESCO dedicated site. Return to Freiburg for overnight at the Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthouse.

Day 5 / THURSDAY
Freiburg - Black Forest - Lake Constance - Lindau - Füssen
After breakfast we will visit a cuckoo clock shop where you will be introduced to the secret f the famous cuckoo clock making. We continue to a small traditional Black Forest farm where we will have a cheese tasting to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of the real Black Forest. Drive to beautiful Lindau at Lake Constance, famous for its many half-timbered houses and medieval atmosphere. From the shores of Lake Constance you will have spectacular views of the Alps. Depending on weather conditions we will take the Alpine road from Lindau to Oberstaufen and Immenstadt to our final destination Füssen, the southernmost point on our tour of Romantic Germany and the Romantic Road. Day 6 / FRIDAY 
Neuschwanstein – Wieskirche - Oberammergau – Linderhof - Innsbruck

We start the day with a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany's most picturesque castle built by tragic fairy-tale king, King Ludwig II. of Bavaria.  After visit to the castle we travel to Oberammergau. The village is internationally known for its Passion Play – generally performed every ten years – and for its numerous buildings with tromp l'oeil (Lueftlmalerei) painted façades. Along the way we visit the Rococco Wieskirche Church, a UNESCO World Heritage building before continuing the tour to visit Linderhof Castle, an other jewel of castles built by the "Mad King". This is the castle where King Ludwig spent most of his adult life. After a brief stop at the Ettal Benedictine Abbey we return to Fussen for overnight at the hotel Hirsch****.

Day 7 / SATURDAY  Fussen - Munich
Today we travel to Munich and start a city tour of the city, the capital of Bavaria. We will view the main attractions, concluding Marienplatz square with its famous clock tower. Munich, the capital of the state of Bavaria is famous for its Oktoberfest, which is annually celebrated in September. Rest of the day is free for own activities. In the evening we treat you to a traditional Bavarian dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation at the Holiday Inn Munich City Center****.

Day 8 / SUNDAY   Munich 
After breakfast transfer to the airport. End of services. Visit the longer version of this Germany tour!

  • Transfer from Frankfurt airport to hotel and from Muncih hotel to airport. On day of arrival and departure only.
