Barcelona short holiday

Day 1.
Arrival in Barcelona airport on your own, Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for own activities or optional tours. Overnight in Barcelona.
Day 2.
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from your hotel for a sightseeing tour of Barcelona driving through the elegant Paseo de Gracia, where you will see the most famous Gaudi houses, casa Battló and La casa Mila (La Pedrera) as well as other majestic buildings of the Modernism era. Continue on to the Olympic Village, the Olympic Port, the beach and the fisherman’s quarter, called Barceloneta, the Port Vell, Plaza (square) de Colon with its famous Columbus monument the starting point of Barcelona's most famous pedestrian street, the La Ramblas. We will continue the visit driving up Montjuďc where you will enjoy a cable car ride with precious views of the city. After the panoramic view we will drive the the cahrming Spanish Village where you can admire a collection of traditional buildings from all over Spain, and a demonstration of a selection of the handcrafts made in this country. During the drive back to the city center we will pass by the Venetian Towers, the Montjuďc fountains, the MNAC and the CC, Las Arenas rebuilt over the ancient Plaza de Toros.
We will arrive at the Plaza de Catalunya, the starting point of the guided walking tour of the old city centre. Our guide will take you to the Gothic Cathedral, threw the narrow street of the Gothic quarter and plaza Sant Jaume where the City hall is located and the headquarters of the Catalonian government. Our tour finishes at the Plaza de Catalunya. Afternoon is at leisure to enjoy this bustling cosmopolitan city on your own. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 3.
Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up from your hotel for a morning tour to Montserrat. The mountain of Montserrat which rises majestically to 4,051 feet (1,236 meter). You will go up to Montserrat with Gog – Wheel Train. It is a 15-minute trip with a privileged and spectacular view of the mountain. The rocks of Montserrat formed by natural cement of sand during the centuries affected by the wind and rain who shaped the mountain with strange and varied forms. You will visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which holds the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Virgen Moreneta, the Black Virgin. The Monastery dates back to 1025 and it Spain's second most important pilgrimage site after santiago de Compostella with its sheer rocks protecting the sites. You have a pass included to the audiovisual to show on the history and will have the opportunity to taste 4 Montserrat typical liquors. Afternoon free to continue exploring the wonders that this city has to offer.
return to Barcelona, Accommodation at hotel.

Day 4. Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport or railway station or optional tours to Spain and Portugal beyond Barcelona.

Your tapas walking tour will lead you through Barcelona's most famous street, La Rambla, with tapas bars and local restaurants. From here you and your guide will go to La Boqueria, the city’s famous food market, which offers an array of fresh produce including fruit and vegetables, seafood, cheese and any type of meat imaginable.
The tour continues at a restaurant offering a wide selection of local, delicious tapas. Here you will enjoy three tapas with a glass of wine, beer or cider, while your food-and-wine-guide provides insights into the flavors of wine, the cuisine and Spanish culture.
You'll continue through the Gothic Quarter, to discover the architecture, atmosphere and gastronomy that are unique to Spain, and some of the gourmet shops which are over 100 years old.
Your last stop will be in a bar where four tasty tapas and a glass of wine, cava or beer will be waiting for you.

In Barcelona with taste of cured meats

Full day tour to the Dali sites of Girona and Figueras with lunch: euro 76 or euro 69 without lunch
Visit Girona, medieval city with one of the best preserved Jewish quarters and medieval streets in Europe and Figueras with its unique Dalí Theatre- Museum. You will be given some free time in Girona to have lunch there. After lunch we will take you to the Dalí Theatre- Museum in Figures (30km from Girona), This museum holds the biggest collection of artworks that represent the artistic evolution of Salvador Dalí, from his first artistic experiments until his surreal creations and his art he made during the last years of his life.
The tour includes the guided visit of Girona and the entrance of the Dalí Theatre- Museum.

Full day Costa Brava tour: euro   operates between 2 May and 15 Oct only euro 55 (8 hours)
Visit the Girona coast, named 100 years ago as the Costa Brava. The name is due to its unique rocky, rugged and cut shape coastline, composed of small coves surrounded by pine forests and lapped by crystal water. We will stop at two typical villages with their beaches, narrow streets and shops for all tates.
Continue by boat to Tossa de Mar, the "pearl" of the cost. During the sailing trip we will be able to enjoy the panorama of Costa Brava of cliffs of unusual forms and shapes carved by sea and wind.

Full day 8 hour tour to wineries near Barcelona: Apr - 31 Oct only Euro 99 per person
First we will visit the Jean Leon’s Wine Cellars, the small "boutique" cellars belonging to Torres Group. There will be a video presentation on the secrets of wine making, garden of the varieties cellar and the underground cave ending the tour with an exclusive tasting of one of their single vineyard wines with some snacks.

Continue on to the spectacular main Torres’s Wine Cellars for living a unique and exclusive experience. . You will take a train tour through the “Mas la Plana” vineyard and the whole production plant.  Finally you will be guided through two different cellars and vineyard garden demonstrating many different varieties and pruning methods.
