The Hotel is situated in a large mature garden with breathtaking views of the
island, the bay of Naples, the Sorrento peninsular and the Amalfi coast. Close
to the centre of Anacapri and to the chairlift that will transport you to the
highest point of the island on Monte Solaro. Also a short walking distance to
Axel Munthe’s famous Villa San Michele.
The hotel was constructed in neo-classical style in 1870’s, and opened in 1904
under the name of “Hotel Molaro”. In a short while it became frequented by
famous artists, writers and noble families.

The 60 rooms, some with air conditioning, have terraces or balconies either
with a sea view or a mountain view which is dominated by the famous
“Barbarossa” Castle dating back a 1000 years.
Each room enjoys satellite colour TV and telephone.
At 300 metres above sea level one can enjoy the sun terraces with exclusive
views, where you are suspended between the sky and the sea.

| DINING -
From the spacious restaurant, there are wonderful panoramic views of the
Gulf of Naples. These large area can seat guests for all types of
functions with typical regional food and Capri specialities. The large adjacent “Faraglioni” room is reserved for excursion groups, this will be the best choice for lunch during your tour in Capri. The Coppola family who manage the hotel will be able to suggest a menu to satisfy different tastes. At the pool side there is a snack bar where you can enjoy typical local snacks and drinks. Every year at “Ferragosto” (August the 14th) we offer our guests a Grand Gala around the swimming-pool with glittering lights, local music, dancing and buffet and drinks. |
