Day 1 Thu : Arrival - Istanbul
Individual
arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel, welcome briefing, free time and
overnight.
Day 2 Fri : Istanbul
Full day tour of Istanbul including the most important sites: Topkapi Palace (excluding the
harem) the
Hippodrome,
Blue Mosque, St. Sophia's church and the Grand Bazaar. Optional: dinner with belly dancing. (B)
Day 3 Sat: Gallipoli - Dardanelles - Canakkale
Morning departure for Gallipoli and visit Anzac Cove and Lone pine cemetery,
Chunuk Bair, Gabtepe War Museum then
cross the Dardanelles waterway to Canakkale for Overnight .(B,D)
Day 4 Sun: Troy - Pergamum - Kusadasi
Morning visit to the legendary city of the Iliad with its famous wooden horse, tour Pergamum
with its ancient hospital and the steepest antique theatre in the world, then continue on to Kusadasi, the popular beach town for
overnight. (B,D).
Day 5 Mon : Ephesus - Virgin Mary's House-Kusadasi
Tour the famous ruins of Ephesus, the largest reconstructed Roman-Hellenistic
city in the world. Continue on to St. Mary's cottage on the hill and visit the
site where she spent the last years of her life in seclusion. Optional tour of a typical local village, Sirince or Sardis (B,D).
Day 6 Tues: Ephesus- Greek Island Cruise.
After breakfast transfer to the pier and embark on a cruise ship at
Kusadasi for a 3 day cruise around the Greek Islands. (B,D)
Day 7 Wed: Cruise to Rhodes
A morning arrival in Rhodes, the island of Roses, Medieval Knights and
the famed Colossus of the ancient world. You have a full day
to explore on your own. You may join an optional sightseeing tour, or simply
take a taxi to one of many nearby beaches for a swim in the crystal clear Aegean
waters. (B,L,D)
Day 8 Thu : Cruise - Santorini, Heraklion
This morning's port of call is Heraklion, Crete where you may discover
the town on your own or join an optional excursion to the Palace of Knossos.
Your next port of call is Santorini, where you are free to explore the land of
the fabled Atlantis. (BLD)
Day 9 Fri : Athens
After disembarking from the cruise, you are transferred to your Athens hotel. The
rest of the day is free to explore this bustling city. (B)
Day 10 Sat : Athens
A morning city tour of the Acropolis with its dominating view and site of the
renowned Parthenon, followed by a visit to the Acropolis Museum. Afternoon at
leisure for last minute shopping or for visits to the famous museums the metropolis
offers.
Overnight in Athens. (B)
Day 11 Sun : Athens
Transfer to the airport for the flight home. (B)
