Day 1
Embarkation from 4pm in Passau, the ship leaves at 6pm and takes you through the series of scenic bends along the Danube known as the Schloegener Schlinge. Enjoy a welcome cocktail before dinner.
Day 2
Arrival in Vienna at noon. Enjoy this city  of music with specialities like Sachertorte and Heuriger (new wine) are just as famous as St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Imperial Palace. You can see Vienna’s most important sights on our sightseeing tour (€ 30) or explore this historic city on your own. In the evening you might join our excursion “Vienna by Night” (Euro 35). A comfortable bus takes you through the Wienerwald up to the Kahlenberg, Vienna’s best viewpoint, with view of the city over vineyards. Then a drive through the traditional wine village Grinzing takes you to oldest champagne cellars in Austria. On a tour through the 300 year old basement of Schlumberger world you will learn interesting details about the "Traditional Method", that came from the region Champagne to Vienna.
Day 3
Arrive in Bratislava, the 2000 year old city, now the capital of Slovakia,  Enjoy a sightseeing tour (Euro 30) which will cover the city’s major sights, including breathtaking views from Bratislava’s 13th-century castle over countryside where the frontiers of Austria, Hungary and Slovakia meet. In the afternoon you can take our excursion to the Imperial Festival Palace Castle Hof (Euro 40), which was built in the early 18th century and its authenticity and diversity attracts Baroque enthusiasts from all over the world. The ship sets off for Budapest shortly before dinner.
Day 4
In the morning reach Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Budapest is a city made up of two parts - Buda and Pest, built on opposite banks of the Danube. With its cobbled streets and medieval architecture, Buda is the older and more graceful part, while Pest, with its wide avenues and impressive 19th-century public buildings, is the administrative and commercial centre. East meets West in this fascinating city, which has an amazing variety of shops and restaurants. This morning, there’ll be a city sightseeing tour (Euro 30), or you can look around Budapest at your own pace. In the afternoon you have the chance to see amongst other things a typical Hungarian horse show during our excursion to Puszta-Lajosmisze (Euro 53). After dinner there’ll be an included cruise, passing the magnificently floodlit buildings on both sides of the river and under the illuminated chain bridge. A gypsy band will be playing and there will also be a performance by a Hungarian folklore group on board.
Day 5
Free day to explore the city on your own or join our excursion and discover the “Vibrant Budapest” (Euro 33). During this tour you will visit the famous Market hall (depending on the opening times of the market), admire the Castle Vajdahunyad and Széchenyi Baths and take a ride with the second oldest underground railway in Europe.
After an early lunch, the vessel leaves Budapest without those passengers who have booked the shore excursion to Szentendre and Esztergom (Euro 37). This excursion follows the bank of the Danube to the small artists’ village of Szentendre, which is seen on foot. The drive continues up to the imposing ruins of Visegrad, from which there is a magnificent view of the “knee” of the Danube, and on to Esztergom, the highlight of this tour. This town is dominated by the country’s largest neo-classical (1820) basilica and one of the largest churches in Europe. You rejoin the vessel in Estzergom, which has meanwhile come upstream from Budapest. During dinner the vessel continues upstream to Vienna.
Day 6
Back in Vienna by lunch time. In the afternoon you can take an optional excursion to the Schoenbrunn castle (Euro 41), one of Vienna’s most beautiful buildings. After dinner on board you have the possibility to participate in the optional excursion “Sound of Vienna” (€ 48) where the Salonorchester „Alt Wien“, one of the famous interpreters of classical music, sparks off a unique firework of the most beautiful on its highest level.
Day 7
Arrive this morning at the wine-growing town of Melk/Emmersdorf, at the western end of the Wachau district. A coach excursion takes you through more of the beautiful Wachau area (Euro  51), followed by a guided tour of the Benedictine Abbey of Melk. This excursion also includes a wine tasting. The ship leaves Emmersdorf after lunch and continues upstream.
